For our purposes, we’ll focus on an event happening right here in Ouray. The Ouray Ice Festival kicks off later this month on the 19th and is heading into its 22nd year! Whether you’re someone who wants to try ice climbing for the very first time or a seasoned pro, the event includes over ninety different clinics for climbers of all skill levels. You’ll also find plenty of useful gear, tools, and apparel courtesy of various retailers. Even if ice climbing isn’t your thing, the festival will provide fun for everyone, from spectating to music, food, and dance parties to help you stay warm.
The Ouray Ice Festival continues until January 22nd. The Ouray Ice Park is currently open to the public and there is no admission fee required to visit!
