Experiences to Enjoy in Ouray

ourayFunWill you be enjoying the Twin Peaks lodging experience any time soon? Get ready for a supremely relaxing stay full of comfort, quality, springs, and so much more! Of course we know there is much more to Ouray than the Twin Peaks experience, and here are some of the highlights worth checking out during the winter or in the near future.

Ouray and the neighboring areas are well-known for the trails. Perimeter Trail is a work in progress and currently extends 4.2 miles roundtrip. That may seem relatively short, but the entire trip will take about three hours to complete, and that’s not counting any stops you might make to take pictures or soak in the scenery.

Animas Forks is one of the many ghost towns in Colorado, this one located about twelve miles northeast of Silverton as part of the Alpine Loop. Its first log cabin was built way back in the 1870s and it ended up becoming a highly successful mining community before eventually experiencing decline as mining profits dwindled.

If you’ve ever thought about ice climbing, it won’t cost you a dime to visit Ouray Ice Park which has ice climbing sites for various skill levels.
