After some facing some hurdles, there is some positive news to report about the 2019 Ouray Jeep Raffle: it will be returning for its 55th year! The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office recently gave the Ouray Tourism Office the final OK to proceed with the sale of the raffle tickets online and in-person to raffle off a winter white 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The raffle itself will happen during Yule Night festivities on Saturday, December 7.
The Ouray Jeep Raffle is one of the oldest events held in Ouray and to this day it remains a community-driven fundraiser that supports scholarships for Ouray students. A portion of the funds is also used to fund some of the events in Ouray like the New Year’s and Independence Day celebrations.
The raffle comprises part of Ouray’s much anticipated annual Oktoberfest celebration. Oktoberfest is all about enjoying real German food, Polka music, fun for the children, costume contests, and of course the chance to become the owner of an all-new Jeep while contributing to great local causes.
