The Ouray Chamber Resort Association recently made an announcement that the 56th annual Jeep Raffle is going ahead! The news should please longtime fans of the longtime event.
The Ouray Jeep Raffle still holds the distinction of being one of Ouray’s oldest celebration events and it is still a major source of funding when it comes to supporting scholarships for Ouray schools. The raffle also serves as a fundraiser for many of the holiday events celebrated in Ouray, such as New Year’s Eve and Independence Day.
Alas, the deadline to grab a raffle ticket has passed now that tickets sold out. Speaking of New Year’s Eve, the socially distanced raffle will also be happening that day if you want to be there. The lucky winner of an all-new Jeep will be revealed at Ouray’s Christmas tree at about 6 pm.
Even if you don’t win a Jeep, you can experience the thrill of an off-road adventure in Ouray. Plenty of places like Ouray Mountain Adventures provide jeep rentals. The surrounding areas are packed with trails for people of all skill levels and no matter your degree of experience, the views are all stellar.
