The website Travel Awaits recently used this to take a closer look at “11 Colorado Towns That Feel Like You’re in a Hallmark Christmas Movie” and sure enough, Ouray managed to make the top ten list, coming in ninth place. Travel Awaits praised Ouray’s “unmatched” winter sights as well as its “spectacular” display of holiday lights. The author says Ouray is “… like you are in a winter wonderland where holiday magic reigns supreme.”
Also earning mention is the highly popular Ouray Ice Festival which offers a broad array of activities for all ages, from decorating gingerbread houses to holiday-themed movie nights, and much more. Due to the pandemic, the event is changing things up and going virtual.
