The 8th annual Sneffels Fiber Art Festival will take place on September 24 and 25 of this year at the Ouray County 4-H Event Center & Fairgrounds in Ridgway. The festival will be jam-packed with opportunities and activities covering all things fiber-related. Everybody who enjoys making their own fiber and wearable art will love this event.
This year’s vendors will bring supplies and handcrafted clothing for you to try on and take home. In addition to fiber artists and vendors, the event will also feature both Saturday and Sunday demonstrations that are free of charge.
The Ouray County Sneffels Fiber Festival is a fundraiser for the Ouray County non-profit arts education center Weehawken Creative Arts. Weehawken Creative Arts has transformed the lives of children and adults in Ouray County and beyond for nearly two decades through their dance program, art education offerings, and beloved community events. This event is organized by a committee of volunteers with administrative assistance from staff. The dedicated festival volunteers play a significant role in the annual Sneffels Fiber Festival’s success.
This festival will take place at the 4-H Events Center, a cutting-edge 5,000 square foot venue situated at the Ouray County Fairgrounds in Ridgway at the intersection of Highways 550 and 62.
