Hot springs during the summer may not seem like the ideal way to cool off, but they’re a different experience than going to a public pool or the beach. Hot springs are known for their possible health benefits, from the minerals that help the skin to the muscle ache and pain-relieving effects.
Colorado is famous for many things, and among them is the Historic Hot Springs Loop which, true to its name, takes visitors on a great trip through various hot springs in different locations. During the trip, you may decide to visit Ouray County, home to Ridgway and Ouray. As for the latter, the water has indeed gained attention for its supposed healing qualities, particularly those over at the Ouray Hot Springs Swimming Pool which received a major facelift not too long ago. Soak in springs with temperatures of eighty degrees to a truly steamy 105 degrees.
Another option is Wiesbaden Hot Springs Spa which has springs plus some gorgeous views of the regal San Juan Mountains. There are secluded springs plus a waterfall.
