Lace up your running shoes. Next month, our neighbor Ridgway will debut the first ever Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley! This unique spin on the popular running events will allow participants—or should we say “art-letes”—to run as they discover various sculptures and hidden poems. The event concludes at the town park.
There are many reasons why you may wish to participate in the rally. For starters, proceeds from the Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley will go towards benefitting the Weehawken Creative Arts and the Sherbino Theater (Ridgway Chautauqua Society) so they may continue to offer arts, culture, enrichment and lifelong learning in the region. Plus, just about anything that involves physical activity will do the body some good.
On that note, a 1K is definitely one of those races that will put your physical skills to the test. If you’re planning on participating, make sure you start training as the big day is right around the corner. The inaugural Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley will take place on Saturday, May 11th at the Weehawken Creative Arts Center. We hope to see you there!
