Snap Some Red Mountain Photos This Weekend

It’s often said that it is important to have a hobby in your life, something that you enjoy doing beyond the daily grind that brings you a sense of joy and satisfaction. A common hobby shared by many is photography where capturing a moment can result in a lifetime of cherished memories about said moment or what may have been happening during that moment.

To become a better photographer, you’re going to need some practice. Shooting at night can be particularly tricky but with a bit of guidance, you can become a skilled photographer. If photography sounds like fun, the OCHS Research Center is the place to be tomorrow. You can attend a photo workshop that includes fascinating insight into the history of the Red Mountain Mining District, one of the most prosperous areas during the gold boom. The lesson will be followed by a visit to the Red Mountain to snap some nighttime photos of the various historic structures found throughout. The following day at 9 am, participants will have the opportunity to edit the photos they shot the night before.

Try something new this weekend and discover a possible new passion.
