Happy Friday, ladies and gentlemen! We can already hear the early rumblings of the holiday season soon to kick off. In the meantime, here’s an event happening next month you can start preparing for if you have broad musical tastes.
The musical duo of James Moors and Kort McCumber (simply known as Moors and McCumber) are a critically acclaimed musical act consisting of a pair of singer-songwriters that are also multi-instrumentalists. They’ve been likened to a modern day version of the classic folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Their musical influences incorporate genres like bluegrass, classical, rock, and many more which are woven into songs about life and love.
Country music record producer, musician, and songwriter Lloyd Maines once said Moors and McCumber “…should be playing every major festival in the country. They bring it all to the stage and deliver it in a big way.” Maines won a Grammy as one of the producers of the Dixie Chicks’ 2002 album, Home. He also happens to be the father of the band’s lead singer, Natalie Maines.
Moors and McCumber will perform at the Sherbino Theater in Ridgway on Tuesday, December 04 at 7 pm. Advance tickets are just $20 or $24 at the door.
